Meet Gaia, our Marketing Manager Distribution Lines
“Never fear!” This short mantra has accompanied Gaia. Born in Bolzano, with strong Roman roots, she grew up hearing these words from her father whenever things didn’t go as planned. Fearless, Gaia constantly faces new challenges, both at work and in her private life. The most recent one came in December 2025 during the Quarterly Meeting, when Gaia had to tackle topics and tasks that were not very familiar to her, but thanks to her team’s support and her enthusiasm for challenges, she managed to overcome them with great professionalism and enjoyment.
As Marketing Manager of the Business Unit Distribution Lines, Gaia, together with her team, handles everything related to the marketing management of Oberalp’s nine distribution brands. Her responsibilities range from stores to athletes, from catalogs to photoshoots, including partner management. Like Mr. Wolf in the movie Pulp Fiction, Gaia “solves problems”, but unarmed! She loves teamwork and says that in her distribution brands team, boredom simply doesn’t exist. Shared jokes and laughter that burst out loudly and “de core,” as they say in Rome, are part of the daily routine. Within her team and among friends, Gaia is considered the fashion icon/victim of the group, and she is very proud of it. Gaia cares deeply about sincere collaboration with all her colleagues. “For me, it is essential that everyone I work with knows I highly regard their work and always appreciate their support,” she says, adding: “I am not a fan of one-man shows, because for me goals can only be achieved together, rowing with all our strength in the same direction.” Thanks to this cohesion, her team won the Oberalp Award “Direct to Customer” in 2025 for the Pop-Up Stores Barts project, a success Gaia is particularly proud of.
For me, my division is like home: I’m happy with the team I work with, and I have to say I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
GAIA Vettori
Marketing Manager Distribution Lines
Gaia describes herself as a 2.0 woman: a professional who wants to grow every day, a working mother committed to being present and attentive to her daughter Camilla, a devoted daughter, a caring and affectionate sister, a partner, and a friend you can truly rely on. Her day starts early, precisely at 5:30 a.m. After cuddling her cat, Gaia tidies up the house, prepares breakfast, gets dressed, wakes her daughter, and then rushes her to school. In the car, Gaia and Camilla love to sing, these days, they enjoy K-Pop songs. In the afternoon, after work, Gaia turns into a taxi driver: she picks up her daughter from school and takes her to sports practice and music lessons. The evenings are dedicated to play, dinner, cuddles, and reading books. And during all this, there’s life with its surprises, emergences, and sudden changes of plans.
Gaia also shares a very close bond with her parents and her sister. Her mother is a source of inspiration thanks to her tenacity and commitment to others. Particularly important in Gaia’s life is her younger sister Emina, adopted at the age of two and living with Down syndrome. Initially a “bundle of problems” she soon became Gaia’s great love and her life project. “With her I learned the importance of consistency, presence, teamwork, dedication and the importance of the journey, not just the achievement of the goal. We never gave up, even in the darkest moments, and today we are still here, side by side!” says Gaia.
When Gaia finds time for herself, she enjoys cooking all kinds of dishes, from Sunday comfort food to more sophisticated recipes. There is always a place at the table in her home! She also loves reading novels, essays, and history books. In particular, the Middle Ages and the historiographical approach of the Nouvelle Histoire fascinate her greatly.
